This visit is linked to a previous stop in Punta del Este, where Depp was also invited by Rodríguez and his wife, Verónica Lozano, to the Yellow Rose ranch, a place where he also enjoyed polo matches.
The connection between “Corcho” Rodríguez and Depp is believed to have come about through their relationship with Ross Halfin, a renowned photographer of rock stars. It is said that they met last year at the Rome and San Sebastián film festivals during the premiere of Modi, the film directed by Depp.
In addition to their friendship, Depp and Rodríguez have a professional relationship. “Corcho” is in charge of distributing Depp’s film throughout Latin America and, at the same time, they are working together on the creation of a wine, the name, label design, and packaging of which will be finalized in the coming days.
